October Satsang

The Monthly Satsang

A live monthly space to explore yoga philosophy, embodied practice, and meaningful connection for midlife women.

In yoga, a satsang is a spiritual community — a gathering of people who come together to learn, practice, self reflect, and support one another on the path.

The Monthly Satsang is a space for women in midlife who are longing for more peace, clarity, purpose, and connection. Each month, we gather around a shared theme and explore it together through yoga philosophy, embodied practice, reflection, and conversation.

This is not just a place to learn. It is a place to be in community.

A place to slow down together.
To reflect together.
To practice together.
To witness and support one another.
To remember that you are not alone in what you are moving through.

Over time, my hope is that this becomes more than a monthly meetup. I want it to be a genuine community — a space where we get to know one another, laugh and grow together, and walk this path side by side.

This Month's Exploration

This month we are reflecting on Abhinivesha.

Abhinivesha, the fifth and final klesha, is often translated as clinging to life or fear of death. At its core, it reflects our deeply rooted attachment to survival, safety, and the familiar.

But abhinivesha can show up in more subtle ways, too. We may cling to old identities, relationships, beliefs, or ways of living, even when they no longer serve us, because the uncertainty of change feels more frightening than the discomfort of staying where we are.

During this Satsang, we will explore how abhinivesha shows up in everyday life and how the wisdom of Yoga can help us meet fear and uncertainty with greater awareness, trust, and courage.

Freedom does not come from eliminating fear. It comes from learning to trust ourselves enough to loosen our grip on what is familiar and open to what is possible.
